He Chose Me

“You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you.” John 15:16

Lea Philippe is the first of seven children born to Lucien and Bernadette Philippe. She is the mother of two beautiful young adult daughters, Jeneva Lea and Savannah Lea. She is also the grandmother of Gabriel Lee and Lennox Lamar, the love of her life.

Lea is best known for her warmth and genuine love for people. She is an ordained minister and is very active in her local church as a psalmist, worship leader, and teacher. She also has a passion for Outreach ministry, and is an ordained missionary, vowing to GO where God wants her to GO!

In 1996 God gave Lea a vision to start a ministry to empower young girls and women. In 1998 she started the Daughters of Zion Outreach in Queens, New York. Lea has been ministering to women of all ages making a difference “one daughter at a time”. Although her life has been marked by disappointment, pain, and hurt, it stands as a beacon of hope to those who seek her out for counsel and advice. Lea remains confident in her resolve that God has blessed her to be a blessing.

As of June 2012, Lea received the call to be “About Her Father’s Business” full-time. She resigned from her position as an Assistant Controller and is now in full-time ministry, where she is employed by the Kingdom of God. She now proudly confesses that she has “The Best Boss” in the universe.

Lea has done hands-on ministry in local, national, and international locations. She has traveled to Nigeria, West Africa to do ministry and missions work, and God has blessed her to complete three mission tours in Haiti. This past summer, she spent two months in Kenya, working with orphans, widows, and AIDS victims.

Without fail, Lea continues to impact lives by her God-kind unconditional love and care of those whom God brings across her path. She thrives on the fact that God is her passion and serving people is a great opportunity to expand the population of the kingdom of God on the earth.

Lea’s life mission is to present Christ to everyone who crosses her path, even if it is with a simple smile while pointing them to Jesus, who is the answer to their problems.

As a Minister, Lea has been the right hand to many Pastors in New York, Georgia, and Florida. She now believes that God was training her for such a time as this.

On April 10, 2021, Lea was called to Pastor ALIVE Christian Center in Marietta, Georgia, under the Leadership of Bishop Anthony Blackwood. She has humbly expressed that she did not see this calling in her future, although she has been pastoring for many years without the title.

As she preached her first sermon as Pastor on April 22, 2021, Lea shared her past with her new congregation; the good, the bad, and the ugly. She declared that like Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, David, Peter, and Paul, she is not perfect but God Chose Her!

On August 7, 2021, Lea was Ordained and Installed as Lead Pastor of ALIVE Christian Center. She is amazed by God’s perfect timing of this call to serve in this Season. During a Pandemic, God hand-picked supporters from near and far to attend the Ordination service. God showed up and showed out.

…And now the great work begins.
